Yakitate!! Japan (69 episodes)

Genres: Commedy, cooking, "drama", Shounen

My Grades:
Story: 6/10
Characters: 8/10
Animation: 7/10

Summary:

England, France, Germany, pretty much everyone else has their own countries' special bread, that is except Japan. This story is about Azuma Kazuma who at the age of 6 dedicates his life to creating a bread better than rice that every one in Japan will trully love. He happens to be gifted with "Solar hands", or abnormally warm hands that make the dough ferment much quicker than the normal baker. At the age of 16 he leaves he rural country home to Tokyo in order to try and become a baker at Japan's #1 bakery Pantasia.

Kazuma is able to get a job at one of Pantasia's smaller brach stores, but this is fine with him. Over time he demestrates his uber bread making skills and creative ideas till eventually wins competitions and is known world wide.

Overall for an anime about making break its... okXD There are many standard characters~ the main character, Kazuma, who's an idiot savant~ but extremely lucky and gifted in making bread. There's his best friend Kawachi, who is the "loser" who over reacts to everything, and has to always work hard to succeed in anything (he reminds me alot of Joey from Yugioh... he also never wins any tournamentsXD). Tsukino is the standard damsell in distress who never really does much. And Matsushiro is their "Boss"... he helps them when the characters get lossed on their road of lifeXD He also has a big afro.

After a while the episodes all appear to feel the same. There's usually a big conflict like "that person's evil because he abandoned his children to fend for themselves and make bread" or "Evil sister who's trying to take over the company", " or a clown that wants go to heaven to meat his dad..." Anyways they end up making bread in every episode, or in Kazuma's case JAPAN! (Pan in japanese is bread... its a punXD). There breads end up being crazy like cute turtle bread thats green, or canabis douhnut bread...After they make it one of the super sensitive judges eat the bread and have a crazy reaction to it like literally becoming "super Saiyen" or dieing and going to heaven and back, or traveling through time.

There's three main archs:
The Pantasia Newbie Competition
The World Cup Competition
The Pantasia VS Saint Peirre Competition
