Summary:
The story is about 22 year old Satou Tasushirou, a college drop out, a NEET (someone who has no job or is receiving an education) And a Hikikomori (someone who suffers social withdrawal symtoms and won't leave their house). For the past 3 years he's managed to survive only leaving his house occasionally at night to buy food at the near by supermarket, and suviving on an allowance his parents send him.
He believes something is wrong with the world and its all a conspiracy of the NHK, Nihon Hikikomori Kyoukai (The Japanese Hikikomori Assosiation, not to be confused with the japanese TV station NHKXD), He believes this secret evil organization has an evil plot.
One day church solicitors come to his house to deliver Religeous Brochures, and with them is 17 year old Misaki Nakahara. This girl decides to take him into her Hikikomori recovery program for unknown reasons. At first he's completely against the idea, (infact he refuses to admit to her he is a Hikikomori and tells her he has the job of a "CREATOR", which he's not even sure what they doXD).
He returns back to his home and is tormented by his next door neighbor who has been blairing music throught their thick appartment walls for the last 3 days straight (The music is a theme song for some random magic-girl animeXD). Finally loosing his mind, Satou barges into his neighbors room to tell him to shut up and when he does he discovers his neighbor is a friend from his literature club back in High School.
Apparantly his friend was going to a Computer school in Tokyo to learn to make games. (and has an addiction to anime, H-games, lolita and other perverted stuffXD which is obvious from the posters and dolls all around his room). After learning about video game Making Satou decides to prove to Misaki he is a "creator" and make a video game with his friend.
Basically the rest of the series is about the game they make together, Satou slowly becoming used to society (very slowly that isXD), and him following Misaki's program to recovery of his Hikikomori ways. On the way the main character becomes somewhat of an Otaku... ehhh with H-games and Online gamesXD Though this series has alot of humour, its also a little depressingT.T One fo those "taste reality, it sucks" type showsT.T
I'll warn you it has a very... Odd first episode that almost scared me awayXD (I didn't go back to it for 3 months)
FIrst the main character becomes delusional and starts having conversations with his furniture about life about conspiracies, then he starts having perverted dreams about Misaki=_= (Satou is a bit of a pervertX_x). But the show starts to make more sense by the second episodeXD and gets better as it goes along~
This show has some seriously funny partsXD But also some serious tear jerking momentsT.T It gets more and more depressing towards the end.
