Air

Air (12+ 1 Recap +2 episodes and One Movie)
Genres: Drama, Romance, Slice of Life, Supernatural

Animation: 9/10
Story: 8/10
Characters: 8/10

The show begins following
Yukito, a traveling pupeteer... (kind ofXD). He's been on a journey his entire life to find "the flying girl." His family line has searched for this girl for hundreds of years, and his mother died serching for her. Eventually he travels to a quite sea side town, and he falls a sleep near the ocean. When he wakes up the first thing he sees is a girl who looks to be flying with the wind blowing through her hair. She introduces herself to be misuzu, who is extremely kind and little Naive. Because he's a traveler she says its ok for him to stay at her house, and she convices her aunt (foster mother) to allow him to stay.

(Yukito and his puppetXD Why do all Yukito's have silver hair?)

Once he takes res
idency in this town, he meets a bunch of members that have "problems", and being the nice guy he is he wants to help them allXD Eventually he discovers many curses and dark secrets to this town that looks so peacefull on the surface, and the history to his own families journey to find the flying girl, and the dark fate that her curse holds.

Overall the story is cute but really sad at the same timeT.T (there's a few tear jerker momentsT.T). The animation looks beautiful (if you can ignore their unhumane enormously sized eyesXD

I have to say, I really really liked this anime...until the last couple episodes when I stopped knowing what the hell was going on.

It has an extremely sad side plot, and a super sad ending, as does the movie.  The movie makes more sense plot-wise, but they cut out some of the really good character developement--and I don't meant just because it was a movie, I mean they cut out some of the really awesome characters from the series.  They make brief appearances is the movie, but...it's just not the same.

And where did they go at the end of the series?  Some of the friends of the main character(s) just disappear, never to be heard from again...

Anyway, really awesome series, I thought.  Very pretty.  I love the big eyes.  And the main character, while grossly innocent, still manages to be adorable, and not annoying.  Something few anime manage to do well.

Animation: 9/10

so do you have the original version with the minor scenes of hentai left in or do you have the newer all ages version?  Also...if I give you a DVD/CD whatever you need, can you make me a copy?  I wanna play! >_<  I tried getting the dreamcast version and alas, failed!

I naturally have the H-version, although I'm pretty sure I downloaded the All ages version a while back as well. H-Version is in jap though I know the all age version was in english. The only one that I know off the top my head where it is the H-version, by which you would need a good translation engine coupled with AGHT to play competently in English. I'll look for the all age version but no guarentees I'll find it, 2.5+ Terabytes ,consisting of 9 partially organized years of accumualted data is quite alot to navigate through.

I don't care if it has hentai in it, I'll still play, but I would prefer some kind of version with at least english subs...and i Have no idea how that works, though I'm sure Josh does...
