Yotsubato (Yotsuba&) Volumes (6- on going) Genres: Comedy, Slice of life
My grades: Story: 9/10 Manga art: 8/10 Characters: 9/10
Summary:
First off if you are addicted to all the goodness known as Azumanga Daioh, you'll love this manga. Its made by the same mangaka, but unlike Azumanga Daioh, which used 4 panels for each manga short story, Yotsubato actually is the size of a normal manga.
Basically the story is about a self proclaimed 6 year old (who's actually 5) Yotsuba, who just moved to Japan with her addopted Dad. She's apparantly a foreigner, but when ever she was asked where she came from her answer is "to the left... really far to the left." But its insinuated she's American. Almost each chapter is a different story of different experiences Yotsuba.
Here's a preview from a random chapter:
...she likes to copy T.V.
There are a bunch of crazy characters besides Yotsuba like her dad, his friends, and their next door neighbors, wich include three sisters; a kid near Yotusba's age, the "ugly one" and the "pretty one." But Yotsuba by far is the most interesting, and unlike Azumanga Daioh it only really focuses on her.
The story isn't really indepth, but its one of the funniest random manga I've ever readXD And I highly recomend it^.^
