Summary:
Nagasumi, a Junior highschooler, goes to the beach with his family on vacation for the summer. While there he almost drowns in the ocean and is saved by a mermaid named San. Apparantly the law of the mermaid commands any mer-person seen in their true form by humans has to die... but San's dad is the leader of the San-gumi mermaid Yakuza ("mafia"), and he decides it would just be easier to kill Nagasumi.

Luckily San believes in "mermaid honor" and instead its agreed that they're fiances. Even though Nagasumi and San agree, the rest of the Yakuza decide to make the rest of Nagasumi's life a living hellXP

The rest of the show is mostly about everyone hating on Nagasumi, Insane Acquatences of San's from other Yakuza families that start gang wars in their school, lots of awkward, easily misinterpreted situationsXP, and protecting San's Mermaid identity (they grow a tail when ever they get wet... kinda reminds me of Ranma 1/2 as much as these people get wetXD)

As random as the story sounds as of right now this is possibly my favorite new anime of 2007^.^ And as far as humor goes its definatly #1. As the show goes on each ep is exponentially funnier!!! This is going to be the first anime I mention to be voted on when club starts back up^.^
