Katsucon 2007 will cost around $90 per person to go. And we will need to raise funds in order to ensure that our costs arn't any higher. The final cost will depend on the number of people coming and what the hotel rules are for how many people can stay in a room. I will post more details as I find them out.

We now have three hotel rooms in the Katsucon block reserved under my name for Katsucon weekend at the Omni Shoreham hotel. I have already received the confirmation numbers.
Hotels (total) cost will be: $1023.63 Tickets will be $40 per person attending as long as we register together by December 31st.
Rooms will just barely be covered by our budget for the year. If we want to lower the cost of Katsucon, we will need to plan out at least one fundraiser. Gas and parking could be expensive, depending on how many cars we take, etc.
Leave a message in this thread if you intend on attending Katsucon 13 (2007).

Guests will have to pay their portion of the hotel fee and ticket fee, same as always. The final cost will depend on how many people sign up to come. Guest space is limited and on a first come first serve basis.

For those of you interested in Katsucon: The last day to turn in Forms and Ticket money is October 30th, 2006. I pushed the date back a week since we haven't had club for two weeks in a row. The form that you need to print out is here: http://katsucon.org/files/k13_pre_reg_form.pdf If you are under 18, make sure you have the bottom portion filled out as well.
Tickets are $40 per person. Hotel is covered by club funds. We're fundraising to try and lower the addtional costs, such as gas, tolls, and parking. Remember that in order to go on the trip as a club member, you must attend/help with either of the fundraisers we are having this semester.
Guests are welcome, but we have limited space for them and I need to know right away if you intend on bringing one. Guests will have to pay their portion of the hotel room, of course, and the final totals for guests will be announced once I know how many people are going. It's usually somewhere around $50-60 for hotel, plus the regular $40 for tickets. Guests who are not car-pooling with the club will not receive money for las, parking, or tolls. Club members who leave the school later than the main "caravan" will also not be able to receive money for gas, tolls, or parking.
Lessee...what else? I will not take forms without money and I will not take money without forms. =P And I'm accepting money and forms at Club events only, please.

*No microwaves, fridges, burners, etc. *Absolutly no live steel. If you buy it at the con, you're having it shipped back to PA *No alcohol or drugs of ANY kind. If you have a prescription, I need to see it. *Respect the other people in your room. Heads of each room (Ashley, Marietta, and Mike D. are in charge of handing out keys and deciding who gets the beds. If you come in late at night, be sure to keep the noise down as others may already be asleep. * DO NOT lose keys. They cost money. *DO NOT take anything from the hotel room that isn't your's. No towels, etc. DO NO drink the "complementary" water. They usually charge about $10 for it. ;) *Remember to bring money for food and the dealers' room. It's expensive down there *Remember to bring sleeping bags/pillows/etc. and shower stuff. This will not be provided for you. *Showers are mandatory. =P No stinky people. *The con/hotel has several of their own rules including, but not limited to: Wear Shirts (guys and girls), no skates

We will meet at 9:30AM on Friday morning in Sykes Student Union 1st Floor Lobby, where the TV and sofas are. I will hand out directions, go over last minute rules and regs, answer any questions, etc. We will split into our car groups and leave Sykes by 10AM. Do not be late. We will leave you behind. ^_^
I am really hoping to be in the first car to arrive. If you are there before me, do not go up to the desk and ask for our rooms. They are reserved under my name and I need to be there to confirm the reservation. Once I have the reservation confirmed and the hotel keys, I will rejoin the group and lead everyone to our rooms.
After we have gone up to our rooms and dropped off our luggage, people can meander back downstairs to get in the pre-reg line. Make sure you have some form of picture ID with you in order to get your con pass.
