Tsubasa Chronicles "TRC Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles (Manga Title)"

Summary:
Basically starts out in the country of Clow with a princess named Sakura who's friends with a boy named Syaoran (names sounding familiar???). Basically they've been friends since childhood even though Syaoran's not royalty (and the first episode presents slowly moving romantic relationshin). Syaoran is an archiologist escavating a site that has a very mysterious presence. One night he goes there to work and Sakura in the ruins. She has grown wings and is being sucked into a wall. Syaoran saves her although the feathers of the wings all dissapear. He tries to leave the ruins, but at the top Touya (the king of the country and Sakura's brother), and Yukito (the countries main magician) are fighting a small army that magically appeared attacking the ruins. Yukito realized that those lost wing were her soul, and if she doesn't get the feathers back she will die.

SO he Warps them to another world where they meet the Yuuko the "dimensional witch." When syaoran gets there there are two other worldly travellers as well, and thy all have a request of the witch. Syaoran want to travel to other worlds to find Sakura's feathers, Kurogane (big many swordsman) wants to return to his own world, and Fai (flamboyant magician, who for mysterious reasons refuses to use magic) wishes to go any where but his original world. The witch grants all their wishes, but has to take something precious from them all. For Syaoran's cost it's that even when Sakura does regain all memories she will never remember him. For Kurogane its his sword, and Fai looses his magical Tatoo on his back. They are given "Mokona" (steriotypical cute side "bunny" character thing), that has the power to transport them through the worlds and the start out on their jouney together.

Overall this is a great anime. I love how Card Captor Sakura, XXX holic, and Chobits characters randomly pop up every now and then. The animation is awsome, but I also had to mention the music becuase It has on of the best music for an anime I've ever seen. The only small negative about this show (in my own oppinion) is it seems to flow a lot slower than the manga, and leaves a couple cute scenes out that involve Sakura getting drunk>.<. At the moment they're about half way through the second season.

I just thought I'd update this with a little more information~ who knew there was a second page in the reveiw sectionXD

Anime:
The second season was still going on when I made my review~ here are my grades for it seperatly because it was much worse than the first season.
Animation: 10/10
Characters: 7/19
Story: 4/10

The second season, besides perhaps the first few episodes are extremely boring pointless fillers.
Although the story was left unfinished there has been no official news of a third season that I can find, although there's rumours of it starting this spring~

Manga:
If you are interested in this anime I recommend the manga wich is infinitly better^.^
Though the beggining of the manga is almost word for word like the anime about 1/2 through they cut off and the story begins to progress.

The manga 1/2 way through looses any real "happy feelings" and becomes very serious and depressingXD The more complicated story and plot twists make this one of the best manga I've ever read even^.^

If you are going to read the manga its advisable to read it in with conjuction with the xxx-holic manga, which chapter by chapter reference each other and give a deeper story and understanding of the plot, they weave together more and more in the latest chapters.

I Feel like I'm spammin this thread O.o...
But I've just learned important news about this series.

As I already Said the 2nd season was destroyed and when they didn't show a 3rd season in spring it nearly crushed my hopes of this anime continueing, that it may have been dropped because of upcoming parts that were too violent (something similar happened with the X anime) but they've recently announced 3 OVA episodes that will be released (and based on the title I beleive they'll follow the awsome manga story line^^)

OVA 1 - The Magician's Message

Release date: November 16th, 2007 (attached to Tsubasa #21 normal edition).
Privilege: Special Case to hold all 3 OVAs with illustration drawn by CLAMP.
Running time: 25 minutes.
Price: 3,360 yens.

OVA 2 - The Boy's Right Eye

Release date: January 17th, 2008 (attached to Tsubasa #22 normal edition).
Running time: 25 minutes.
Price: 2,980 yens.

OVA 3 - The Dream Saw by The Princess

Release date: March 17th, 2008 (attached to Tsubasa #23 normal edition).
Running time: 25 minutes.
Price: 2,980 yens.

Btw~ Kamui from Clamp's X plays a major role in this arc~ If you're a Kamui fan I think you'll deeply appreciate these OVA'sXD
