This Saturday, on September 9th, Adult Swim will be premeiring 2 new animes: Trinity Blood and Bleach.
Trinity Blood: The Catholic Church arose from the ashes of the Earth's near destruction 500 years ago. Now Vampires walk among men, waiting to feed on the blood of humanity. The Vatican's greatest weapon against the vampires is a simple man named Abel Nightroad...who is more than human himself. (On at Midnight)
Bleach: Ichigo Kurosaki is a normal high schooler -- except that he has the ability to see spirits. But when a Soul Reaper named Rukia gives him her power to defeat an evil ghost, he's tasked with keeping the city safe from the monstrous Hollow spirits that plague the world's earth-bound souls. (On at 12:30)
Adult Swim is on the Cartoon Network (Channel 69)

I heard about Trinity Blood in passing, but now I can't remember from where. I was probably purusing the adult swim site at some point, I just don't remember.

I've heard about these two being on Adult swim for the last year or so. I was beginning to think that my sources were wrong until they started airing tv spots on CN.
I knew Bleach was coming out. There have been rumours of it since I worked at Showcase Comics in Bryn Mawr. I'd never heard of Trinity Blood until a couple weeks ago. I don't really watch CN anymore because of the brutal masacring that was once anime, but I do look forward to getting the DVDs, albeit slowly, via netflix.... ^.^

I almost got TRINITY BLOOD mixed up with the fighting game MELTY BLOOD, which is a direct relative to the anime SHINGETSUTAN TSUKI-HIME....it looks good tho, so I wouldn't mind checking it out.
Bleach, on the other hand, I'm not too crazy about yet. I dunno why, but I hope AS proves me wrong on this one (lol).

Trinity blood seems like it would do well on Adult swim. Bleach on the other hand I worry will end up like another naruto. As for Melty Blood, its feels good to know I'm not the only one aware of it.
Well, I have watched the anime!!! Me and Marietta stayed up and watched them and we are both in agreement.
Trinity Blood besides being very good also has one of the HOTTEST LEAD MALES!!! Abel is Bishy!!!
Bleach is also quite enjoyable, I wasn't as impressed with the dub as Trinity Blood (Ruika's voice is a little too monotone) but at least there were no edits in the animation. And I think it could have been a lot worse...like Naruto (Shudder). So Bleach gets my blessing.
Still, we only saw the first episodes but so far things seem to be heading in the right direction. I hope it keeps up.

YES, I really don't care for Bleach (and never really did), but watching Trinity Blood INSTANTLY made me think Akumajo Dracula (Castlevania), which is a good thing ^_^. I'd def love to see the series suceed & even some video games, too.
Seeing Trinity Blood on AS was my first time seeing it and I have to say, THE F-ING POPE IS A KID I love this anime awesomness rating all around.
As for Bleach I thought they did a good job, after all can't go wrong with Johnny B. he does good work. Also they left the entire op and en themes in tact big points for that. Just one thing that irked me though and that was the preview I don't feel that they've captured Kon and he didn't say splash like in the original. (That's right I'm so geeky I remeber what he said years ago in the preview)
It is the one we saw last semester, but I won't know how much it's changed until I see it. ;) I would imagine there will be a great deal of editing involving one of the younger characters and a particular scene towards the end. I don't wanna spoil it though. >_

I'm hoping they won't edit too much~ The only thing I'm concerned about is them ruining haji's voiceXD I know he barely ever talks, but if his voice is ruined I refuse to watch the dubXD
****! I hadn't even considered the voice acting. Saya was annoying enough...and Haji!! They better not ruin him! (I'll...ya know...cry or...something...)
I wonder if they'll change anyone's name...?

I looked up the voice actors out of curriosity~ and put down some notable roles they've played
Saya: Kari Wahlgren (Haruko in FLCL and Fuu in Samurai Champloo) Haji: Crispin Freeman (Balmung in .hack//sign and Allucard in Hellsing, Saotomi in Boogie Pop Phantom and Kyon from Melanchaly of Haruhi Suzumiya) Kai: Benjamin Diskin... (#1 and #2 in the kids next doorXD) Solomon: Dave Wittenberg (lots of generic charactersXD)
I wanted to see Diva's but her's isn't listed yet Well at least my hopes are up about Haji~ but I'll have to hear it in the actual anime to tell for sure
