Ok - after tonight's voting, it looks like Kabuki is the winner. :) So...Monday, October 9th, we will meet in Sykes first floor lobby (where the sofas and the big TV are) at 7p.m. We will leave by 7:15p.m. and drive to King of Prussia. We will eat, drink, be merry, and, if possible, watch anime. We will be out late!! (Be prepared).
If you can offer to be a driver for this event, please contact me ASAP. We have 28 people interested in going. If you would like to sign up to go and have not done so, contact me immedietly.
Thanks!

LOL - As soon as I have confirmation with Kabuki, I will be sending an e-mail out to DAS and Annie. I'm a little afraid that 35 of us may be too many for that restaurant. ^.^

LOL - We will probably have another sushi night not on a Monday. This was supposed to take the place of a regulary scheduled club meeting, but the schedule changed, and now we're just going cause we want to.
Although I'm still not so sure that we will be able to.-_-

A new ponderance for you all interested in the sushi trip on October the 9th. Kabuki is only open until 9:30p.m. on Mondays. Should we chance an 8:00p.m. reservation for 35+ people and expect us to get out of there by 9:30p.m.? Personally, I'm inclined to think "no," but I'd like to hear what you guys have to say. :) I also sent a message to the yahoo group about this.

in that case should we reconsider where we would go, i dont know the hours of tekoku but if the hours fits better. The last thing i think we want to do is limit who can come based on the amount of transportation or hours.

With Teikoku, we will still need transportation, and we're still horrible low on that. I have to check Teikoku's hours to make sure, but I'm pretty sure they are open later.

I hate to say this but we do have a couple weeks between then and now to finalize plans and get transportatiom; I know thats a dangerous concept especially when the need to reserve for so many, 35+ which i am still stunned by. I guess another possibility would be to reserve earlier and come in shifts like have the reservation for as early as 600ish and people get thier when they can but i dont know how the restaurant or the bill would feel about that.

Obviously, they are going to charge us gratuity. I haven't yet called Teikoku to make a reservation, but I'll probably do that this afternoon. I'm a little worried that I'll end up cancelling because we won't have enough Trans, but I at least want to make a reservation.

so does that mean we have reservations for both and we'll address this at our next meeting or are we definitely changing locations. I know its been mentioned before but are thier any other dates looked at for another trip

Sorry i should have learned by now not to jump to conclusions. On a side note, if necessary i could try and borrow my aunts mini van if it would help ease transportation problems.

That might be nice, actually. I'm still worried that overall we won't have enough space. Let's see: Andrea 4+driver Josh 1.5+driver Mike 3+driver Mary (Squeaky's mom) 5+ driver Eric 6+driver Ryan 3+driver Sara 3+driver
At most we have room for....15.5 people. .5 a person would have to be someone tinie-tiny cause the back seat can't do much else. I was hoping Josh woulnd't have to use his car at all, since it's not exactly efficient.

The 104 runs down West Chester Pike and stops right in front of Teikoku. I'm not sure if any other buses do run the same way, but it's a thought. That's how imma get there ^_^.

If it becomes a critical deciding factor, and I am provided a competent direction assistant, I will join your little trip. My vehicle is capable of 6 + Driver, or 7 + Driver if we have rope.

LOL. Gee, Eric. You make it sound like hanging out for an evening is going to ruin you. =P I'm not going to force anyone to go. If you'd like to come, I think it would be fun. ^.^

...Actually, I was referring to tieing down the seventh person in the center seat since I have no seatbelt. But your take on it is amusing none the less. I'm simply saying that I'll go if it would benefit the situation, trust me YOU wont force me to do anything, I am rather indifferent about the trip, so if I go or not is win-win for me.
For the benefit of the club, I might be able to get another car but it would require someone to drive my car. Please post updated list, I'm sure we can work this out prior it might have people sacrificing their personal space bubble.

Just as a reminder - you can only legally fit as many people in a car as there are seat belts, and please keep in mind, ANY event the club does must be at least MOSTLY legal. =P (If anyone says anything about Katsucon, I may have to poke them...)

PS: I've BEEN updating the list every time someone volunteers to drive. We just need more people to volunteer. We have up to 23 people accounted for atm.

I'm waiting for Teikoku to get back to me about the reservation. As of right now, I'm planning for the sushi trip to be at Teikoku on Monday, Oct. 9th. We would leave Sykes by 7:15p.m. and the reservation will be for 7:45p.m.

My brother said he might come, for what its worth, and if necessary my aunt, although not willing to loan out her van, said she could provide transportation if we really need it. oh and one point of annoyance, my car can fit 4, as to aid the math.

Well, we already have enough drivers, so please thank your aunt for us, but let her know that we don't need her to shuttle bus some of us silly college students. ;) Does our brother intend on showing up to a couple meetings?

If you are coming on the sushi trip next monday you **MUST** give me your dinner order TONIGHT since I have to make a large dinner for us as a group as part of our reservation since we have 35 people coming and don't want to have to pay $40/person. You WILL be held accountable for your bill! I will be keeping track of what everyone orders. Please keep in mind we will all have to chip in towards the gratuity bill, which is usually 20%. So add 20% to whatever your final total is and bring it with you in CASH next Monday!! I will have Menus tonight at the club meeting and you can find them on Teikoku's site at: http://www.teikokurestaurant.com/index.html
Sorry for the confusion, guys! Make sure your get your dinner order in to me tonight, or you won't have anything to eat next week! =P

Ok...here's what people ordered and how much each order comes to. If you want to change it, contact me on aim IMMEDIETLY at Unearthlydelite. I'll leave my computer on over night in case people want to leave me a message. I leave for class at 9a.m. At that point, it will be too late to change your order. I will be taking money from everyone before we leave on Monday, so please have your cash ready. I've added an estimated 20% gratuity to everyone's orders. If it ends up being less than that, I will re-send everyone's totals out before next Monday.
The Teikoku website can be found: http://www.teikokurestaurant.com/index.html In case you'd like to check my math.
Just a reminder that we will be meeting in Sykes 1st floor lobby, where the couches and the nice TV are, at 7p.m. We will be collecting money and getting into car groups to leave. We leave at 7:15p.m. and the reservation will be for 7:45p.m. Teikoku is just up Route 3. To get there, you leave the Sykes parking lot, make a left on to High Street, a right on to Market St and you follow Market street for about 15-20 minutes. It turns into Route 3. Teikoku will be on the left-hand side. I will remind all drivers of directions on Monday before we leave...just in case. ;)
Car assignments will come later. For now, I need to feed on the flesh of mine enemies. Or I could just be studying for a test. Who knows.
Ja ne!
